Hannas Dean Donald

ATMORE – Hannas Dean Donald, long time resident of Atmore went to be with her Lord on March 18, 2012.

She was born to Noah and Anna Dean Wesley on Sept. 1, 1919 in Little River. She was the only living charter member of Brooks Memorial Baptist Church where she served faithfully those many years. She loved the Lord, her family, her church and community. She was honored by the Hospital Auxiliary for her 27 years of volunteer service. She will be missed by family and friends.

Her husband, Amon Elihue Donald; a daughter, Virginia Donald Miller and three siblings preceded her in death.

She is survived by a son, Weldie Donald and wife, Loyce of Atmore; a daughter, Lorraine Donald May and husband, Bill of McKinney, Texas; six grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services were held at       11 a.m. Wed. March 21, 2012 from  the Brooks Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Grindle and the Rev. Dave Taylor officiating. Interment was held in Serenity Gardens in Atmore. Family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening, March 20, 2012 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers were John David May, Hunter McKinley, Matthew Wietbrook, Blaine Gregg, Devin King and Neil Baumann.
Johnson –Quimby Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of all arrangements.
