Roy Roberts, 70, died Thursday, April 5, 2012. He was born July 1, 1941, to the late Tom and Arleane Roberts. He left Atmore at an early age and moved Miami where he lived until his death.

Roberts was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Roberts. Those left to cherish his memory are: three daughters, Tonie Roberts of Arverne, NY. Arnell Roberts and Margaret (Kenneth) Moore of Monroeville; two sisters, Cornelia Brooks of Daphne and Earlean Robertson of Atmore; one sister-in-law, Channie Roberts of Atmore; two bothers-in-law,  Lonnie Sanders and Sam Thomas, both of Atmore; one uncle, Arvin Roberts of Pensacoal; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A memorial will be held Monday, April 9, 2012, at Gaines Chapel AME Church at 11 a.m.
