Perdido Elementary students recently raised more than $1,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital through participation in America’s largest education-based fundraiser – Math-A-Thon.

Coordinated by fourth grade teacher Geri Peacock, the Math-A-thon is a supplemental math education program for grades K-8 that also serves as a fund raiser for St. Jude.

The program is free, and is designed to compliment the existing math curriculum, while teaching students the importance of helping others.
