Chad Thrower added his name to the list of emerging candidates for City Council this week, announcing his candidacy for the District 1 seat currently held by Webb Nall.
Thrower, 28, is a native and life long resident of Atmore and a 2002 graduate of Escambia County High School.
Thrower is a gaming agent with the Poarch Band of Creek Indians Tribal Gaming Commission.
Thrower also served as coordinator of Alabama’s first congressional district for the Campaign for Liberty, as well as the Ron Paul 2012 Republican presidential campaign. He also served as a delegate candidate for Ron Paul for the first district during the recent Alabama presidential primary.
Thrower said he believes Atmore has a bright future and is willing to put in the work to represent the needs of the people of District 1.
“With a strong community and the right leadership, I believe Atmore has a bright future ahead,” Thrower said. “Creating a business-friendly environment to attract job generating industry to the community and monitoring municipal spending to reduce government waste, along with lowering taxes, are positive means of achieving and maintaining a prosperous future.”
