The Escambia County Sheriff’s Department and Atmore Police Department are looking for the person or persons responsible for firing a gun at a repossession vehicle Monday around noon.

Chief Deputy Mike Lambert said the shots were fired on Goldenrod Lane after a worker attempting to repossess a white Cadillac was spotted by the driver of the vehicle. Lambert said the vehicle pulled into a residence and several moments later shots originated from the general area of the home.

Lambert said the repossession worker, who called 911, was not hurt and the owner of the Cadillac was not behind the wheel of the car at the time of the incident.
