Mary Frances (Pie) Temple Thompkins, daughter of the late Francis Hammond Urner and Rosabel Pridgen Urner died May 29, 2012. She as predeceased by husbands Richard Underhill Temple Jr., Gordon L. Thompkins and sister Nancy Urner Stultz.

Pie was born in Baltimore, Md. on July 25, 1935, and lived in Hagerstown, Md.and Blue Ridge Summit, Pa. before moving to Myrtle Beach, S.C. in 1957. She attended Fassifern School in Hendersonville, N.C. and graduated from Fairfax Hall Jr. College and Bryn Mawr College. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and was a 12-year volunteer for Mercy Hospice of South Carolina.

She was loved and respected by her friends and children for her strength, intelligence and loyalty. She gave us all the best of herself and we will remember her with joy and appreciation.

She is survived by her son Richard U. Temple III of Myrtle Beach, daughter Nancy Temple Floyd and son-in-law Scott Floyd of Atmore; grandsons Michael Coolidge and Tom Waddell, granddaughter Taylor Temple and great-grandson Logan Waddell. No services will be held per her request.
