Teenagers at Atmore’s First Assembly of God perform for the children Friday morning during the last day of their 2012 Vacation Bible School, themed “Rocky Point Lighthouse.”

It is summer once again in south Alabama – which means it is time for many beloved southern traditions, and few are as prevalent in Atmore as Vacation Bible School.

As has been the case in year’s past, VBS programs will be available to local children at many locations all over the Atmore area.
The summer VBS fun has already kicked off in town as First Assembly of God held Bible school last week using the theme “Rocky Point Lighthouse.”

More VBS fun is on the way as well as Atmore Church of Christ will hold their program, themed “All Aboard the Kingdom Express,” Sunday, June 17 through Wednesday, June 20 and First Baptist Church will host “Sky, everything is possible with God” as the theme for their Bible school, to be held Monday, June 18 through Friday, June 22, just to name a few.
