Wind Creek Casino and Hotel have scheduled another headliner for the Amphitheater on Aug.11, at 8 p.m. where Willie Nelson and family have been booked to perform.

Joined by his “Family” band lineup (sister Bobbie on piano, Mickey Raphael on harmonica, Bee Spears on bass, and brothers, Paul and Billy English, who alternate on drums) Nelson will perform a variety of music, both old and new.

Nelson is widely recognized as an American icon. According to the press release issued by Wind Creek, he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1993, and received the Kennedy Center Honors in 1998. He was inducted in 2011 into the national Agricultural Hall of Fame for his efforts on behalf of farmers with Farm Aid and other fund raisers.

During the performance on Aug. 11, Nelson and his band will perform some of the old standards and some newer songs.
