Clyde Calvin Byrd, 70, of Atmore, died Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at his residence. Byrd was born in Huxford June 19, 1942, to the late Patrick Garvey and Myrtle Croley Byrd. He was retired from CSX Railroad.

Byrd was survived by: Two sons, Paul (Tina) Byrd of Brewton, and Raymond (Nancy) Byrd of Fort Deposit; one brother, Vernon (Melba) Byrd of Mobile; one sister, Pat (Levon) Baxter of St. Elmo; three grandchildren, Christian Byrd, Zackary Byrd and Stephanie Byrd; numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be Saturday, July 14, 2012, at 11 a.m. from the Huxford Reorganized Latter Day Saints Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with full military honors. Family will receive friends Saturday, July 14, 2012, at the church one hour prior to service time.
