Deputies search mobile home

A search warrant executed Thursday night at a residence located at 80 Redwood Lane, lot 14 ended with an Atmore man’s arrest after authorities uncovered a large amount of illegal narcotics.
According to officials with the Escambia County Sheriff’s Department, Matthew Robinson Hayles, 28, was taken into custody after authorities found a large amount of prescription pills and a bag of green plant material that narcotics agents believed to be Lortab and Marijuana.
Rolling papers and scales that were believed to have been used as paraphernalia were also found inside the residence.
Hayles was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana in the first degree and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton, where he was later released on $10,000 bond.
