Kayte Karen Taunton Hollingsworth

LYNN HAVEN, Fla. – Kayte Karen Taunton Hollingsworth, 26 of Lynn Haven, Fla., passed away Sept. 16, 2012 in Chennai, India.
Kayte was a beautiful young woman with the courage of a lion and the light of the sun. She was born Sept. 22, 1985 in Douglasville, Ga. She was a graduate of Auburn University in Montgomery.
Survivors include her husband Jake Hollingsworth of Lynn Haven.; parents, Cecilia and Robert Taunton of Jackson Gap; brothers, Jacob Earl Taunton of Jackson Gap and Joseph Robert Taunton of Lynn Haven; mother and father in law, Lori and Brian Hinton of Panama City, Fla.; brother in law, Myles Hollingsworth of Panama City; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and fellow Fibrolamellar fighters.
She was preceded in death by Tony Hollingsworth of Nokomis Fla.
Funeral Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, 2012 from the First United Methodist Church of Atmore with Dr. John Brannon officiating. Burial followed in Hollingsworth Cemetery. Visitation was held one hour prior to service time at First United Methodist Church of Atmore.
Pallbearers were Jacob Taunton, Jospeh Taunton, Myles Hollingsworth, Clint Zoccoli, Ben Gilmore and Adam Smalley. Honorary pallbearer was Gabe Campbell.
Kayte’s maternal grandparents are the late Barbara Ann Crowder and Kelly Williamson, and paternal grandparents are Martha Taunton and the late Earl Taunton of Sopchoppy, Fla. Jake’s maternal grandparents are Joyce and Ray Simpson of Gulf Breeze, Fla., and paternal grandparents are Pat Hollingsworth and the late Eldred (Holly) Hollingsworth of Nokomis, Fla.
