Officers with Atmore Police Department are on the lookout for a man accused of armed robbery and considered armed and dangerous.

Police are searching for 20-year-old Brandon Jones after he allegedly robbed a woman  at gunpoint Tuesday as she sat in her car at the intersection of Carver Avenue and King Street.

Walden said K-9 units from Fountain Prison were deployed and the stolen property, along with the clothing and one of the guns used in the robbery, was recovered.

The following day, Walden said, officers arrested 34-year-old Rodrico Dortch, of Atmore, and charged him with armed robbery after he was identified by the victim during a photo line up.

Walden stressed Jones is considered to be armed and very dangerous and would like to encourage anyone with any information as to his whereabouts to call the Atmore Police Department at 251-368-9141. All calls are confidential.
