DETROIT, Mich. – Carl Harry Jackson, Sr. of Detroit, Mich. died Feb. 1, 2013.
He was born on June 12, 1944 to Mr. Revis and Helen Jackson in Atmore. He was a 1961 graduate of the Escambia County Training School in Atmore where he played football.
He was drafted in the United States Army where he served for three years and moved to Detroit, Mich. where he lived unitl he died.
His parents, Revis and Helen Jackson and his sons, Carl Jackson Jr. and Terry L. Rudolph preceded him in death.
Survivors include six daughters, Annie Rudolph of San Francisco, Calif., Donna, Cassandra, Shenita, Beverly and Karlitta Jackson, all of Detroit, Mich.; two sons, Ruben and Johnnie Jackson, both of Detroit, Mich.; 20 grandchildren; two sisters, Betty (Sam) Holly and Pamela Jackson, both of Atmore; three brothers, Walter (Catherine) Williams of Monroeville, Larry (Judy) Jackson and the Rev. Michael Jackson, both of Atmore; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends and special friends, Mr. Dan York of Mobile, Nettie Brantley of Detroit, Mich. and Dorothy Lucas of Atmore.
Home going services were held at 12 noon Friday, Feb. 8, 2013 at Cantrell Funeral Home in Detroit, Mich. with the Rev. Michael Jackson officiating.
