Alton Bernard Etheridge

ATMORE – Alton Bernard Etheridge, Sr., 86, of Atmore passed away at his residence on Sunday Feb. 17, 2013.
He had worked at NAS, Pensacola where he later retired. He was born on July 24, 1926, in Davisville, Fla. to William and Ima Ballard Etheridge.
His wife, Anne Luverne Etheridge and two sons, Alton Bernard Etheridge, Jr. and Michael Lenard Etheridge preceded him in death.
Survivors include three sons, Jimmy Edward Etheridge and William Joseph Etheridge, both of Atmore and Jerry Alan (Faye) Etheridge of Lottie; daughter-in-law, Teresa Mooney Etheridge of Walnut Hill, Fla.; one sister, Margie Griffith; 12 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Davis officiating. Burial followed in Pine Level Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation was held from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
