The city won’t allow developers to pursue anymore multi-family housing, at least for 180 days.

The Atmore City Council voted unanimously Tuesday on a six-month moratorium on multi-family housing until a study is completed on the city’s sanitation plant.

“We’re in the process of rezoning,” said Mayor Jim Staff. “We have to look at the sanitation plant study and see if it can handle all that.”
