This year’s “Don’t Drop it on Alabama” anti-litter campaign will kick off Saturday and run through Sunday, April 28 and local officials are asking for the public’s help in cleaning up their neighborhoods and other local areas.

Escambia County Commissioner Brandon Smith said a lot can be accomplished in a short period of time.

“People can pick up bags from me or the chamber,” Smith said. “Anybody can pick up anywhere they would like to. They can just call me or the chamber and the county will come out and pick up the bags where ever the they are.”
