The first of what organizers are hoping will be many more ARTmore events kicked off Saturday afternoon in Atmore’s downtown district with nearly 50 artists on hand to show off and demonstrate their work.

Organizer James Amerson said he thought the crowd for the inaugural event was steady throughout the afternoon.
