The first ARTmore event, held last Saturday in downtown Atmore, may be over, but officials at United Bank are keeping the spirit of the event alive, choosing to give a piece of work by the event’s organizer, James Amerson, a new home on the south side of their main branch on Nashville Avenue.

Amerson’s piece is also a tribute to the heritage of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians and their influence in the Atmore community. The piece of art was moved from downtown to its new home at United Bank by Atmore Fire Department Thursday morning, where it will remain indefinitely.
