James E. Powe

James “Jimmy” E. Powe, born June 8, 1951, a lifelong resident of Atmore, was welcomed to Heaven on June 20, 2013.
A long time employee of the railroad, Jimmy is survived by his wife, Pamela Joy Powe; two daughters, Mary Faucett of Pensacola and Tammy Tolin of Atmore; four sons, Logan Stacey of Atmore, Christopher Stacey of Atmore and Stephen Chad Stacey of Monroeville. He is preceded in death by Wesley Kyle Powe of Atmore. He has seven grandchildren.
He is also preceded in death by his father, Willard Powe and mother, Mary Powe of Huxford; sister, Jean Gross; and brother, Tommy Powe. He is also survived by his sister, Francis Powe and brother, Billy Powe.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at 11 a.m. from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Brandon Rowell officiating. Interment followed in Huxford Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Willard Powe, Roy Powe, Brandon Guy, TJ Ashcraft, Jonathan Jones and Jarod Day. Honorary pallbearers were Troy Shehan, Kippy Powe, Scott Janes, Jeff Gilmore and David Greer and the entire railroad family.
Family received friends Tuesday morning, June 25, 2013, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 10 to 11 a.m.
