The local YMCA Board of Directors has posted a job listing for a new CEO for the Atmore facility.

The position is posted on the Atmore Area YMCA website and on the bulletin board at the building at 501 S. Pensacola Ave and will be posted through Wednesday, July 24, said Board President Ricky Martin.

As of Thursday afternoon one person has applied for the Job, Martin said. The board won’t limit the search to just local applicants as the regional YMCA has sent an email out about the job opening.

“At this point we’re not going to limit it to local candidates,” Martin said. “It’s open to anyone who’s interested.”

Among the minimum requirements for the job is a four year college degree as well as excellent written and verbal skills as well as other criteria.

“This position should actively interact and communicate with YMCA members, donors, staff, volunteers and the board of directors and be seen as an active and integral member of the community,” read the job summary. “The successful candidate shall act as an ambassador for the mission, cause and vision for the Atmore Area YMCA.”

All applications must be sealed and mailed, or delivered to the YMCA-Atmore attention: board of directors, 501 S. Pensacola Ave., Atmore, Al, 36502.

Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. on July 24.
