The Northview Lady Chiefs’ varsity volleyball team won two district matches this week, beating Jay 3-2 and Freeport 3-2.

The Lady Chiefs took the home match Tuesday against the Lady Royals with scores of 23-25, 25-16, 25-18, 12-25 and 19-15.

In Tuesday’s match, Tiffani Pritchett led the team with five aces, two kills and 17 digs. Teammate Hanna Ging added four aces, one kill and seven digs.

The varsity team then traveled to Jay on Thursday evening to take on Freeport. The Lady Chiefs won with scores of 25-18, 14-25, 25-14, 15-25 and 15-7.

Lily Townson had two kills, 13 assists and 15 digs. Danielle Steadham added one ace, eight kills, five blocks and 18 digs.

The Lady Chiefs’ junior varsity team lost in the home match to Jay with scores of 18-25, 25-13 and 11-15.

Dominique Brown led the team with one ace, six kills and five digs. Leah Fischer added three aces, four kills, one block and four digs.

The Lady Chiefs host Baker on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
