Add one more award to the long list of accolades Fire restaurant at Wind Creek Casino and Hotel has already received.

On Friday, the restaurant was presented with the key to the town of Repton, from Mayor Terri Carter.

Fire General Manager Gene Schnell said the honor was “incredible.”

Carter said the restaurant deserves the honor because of what it brings to the area.

“We’re just excited we have somewhere to go with good service and a great atmosphere,” she said. “It’s only fitting that they’re recognized by as many people as possible.”

The first-ever four diamond award-winning steakhouse in Alabama is also in the running for a top award from the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association, Schnell said. Fire is in the top four finalists out of a total of 168 qualifiers.

Fire also received the key to the city of Atmore last year, after it was named one of the top five steakhouses in the state.
