Atmore Police were called to the Quality Inn on South Main Street Tuesday to investigate what appeared to be a small methamphetamine lab in a guest room.
Scott Walden, an agent with the 21st Judicial Drug Task Force, said authorities found what they suspect is a “one-pot,” or “shake-and-bake” meth lab inside a Sprite bottle left in the room. Walden said the bottle was full of chemicals consistent with the making of methamphetamine, although the chemicals have not yet been tested.
“All the chemicals were there in the bottle,” Walden said.
Walden said Tuesday afternoon that an arrest warrant would be issued for Regina Denise Lashley, 29, of Pensacola, because she rented and checked out of the hotel room.
No other equipment consistent with that particular type of meth lab was found in the room, Walden said.
