Vivian Catherine Bryan, 93, of Walnut Hill, Fla., passed away February 15, 2014, in Atmore.

She was a homemaker, born in Saluda, S.C., on Oct. 29, 1920, to the late Louis and Bessie Moye Sample.

She was a graduate of Ernest Ward High School, “Class of 41,” and a member of Walnut Hill Baptist Church for 55 years.
Her husband, Oscar “Monk” Bryan; six sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.

Survivors are one son, Gary “BoBo” (Twyla) Bryan of Walnut Hill, Fla.; three daughters, Mary Ann (Butch) Chism of Cordova, Tenn., Delores Parker of Pensacola, Fla. and Ginger (Jerry) Cochran of Atmore; one sister, Ruth (Ernie) Graham of Pensacola, Fla.; seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, from the Walnut Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Ted Bridges officiating. Interment followed in Walnut Hill Baptist Cemetery.

The family received friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers were Ricky Crosby, Bert Bryan, Jeremy Chism, Jeff Blackmon, Tyler Kendrick and Beau Bryan.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc., was in charge of all
arrangements.
