Bernell Lett

Bernell Lett Jr., 47, of Century, Fla., entered the heavenly gates on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014, at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola.

He was a native of Escambia County, Fla., and was a graduate of Century (Fla.) High School in 1986.

Bernell worked for more than 15 years as a wood grader at Bondurant Lumber Co. He had a love for basketball and cooking. He was a member of Bethel AF&M Church of God in Century.

His father, Bernell Lett Sr., and a brother, William Bass, preceded him in death.

His life will live on in the memories of his mother, Doshia Lett of Century; five sisters, Rena Davison of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Brenda Lett-Dixon, Darlene Lett, and Melissa Lett, all of Century, Fla. and Edna Grice of Pensacola, Fla.; and three brothers, Marion Davison of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Sam Davison of Okeechobee, Fla. and Alfreco Lett of Century, Fla.

Celebration of Life services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 8, at Bethel AF&M Church of God in Century with Elder Russell Fountain, pastor, officiating. Inhumation will be in the Century Cemetery.

The public walk-in viewing will be Friday from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. His body will lie in repose at the church for one hour prior to the service with Turner Funeral Chapel, LLC, directing.
