A Marianna, Fla., man was killed in southern Escambia County on Saturday night, according to the Alabama State Troopers.

Ronnie Dale Powell, 38, died after the 2003 GMC pickup truck he was driving left the roadway off U.S. Highway 31, about four miles south of Atmore.

According to Trooper Curtis Summerville, Powell’s truck overturned and he was ejected. Powell was not wearing a seat belt, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other information was immediately available, as the Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
