Edward Ray ‘Bud’ Stabler

Edward Ray “Bud” Stabler, 66, of Atmore, passed away Thursday May 22, 2014, in Pensacola, Fla.

He was a mechanic for Alabama River Pulp, born in Franklin to the late Albert and Mary Stabler on Oct. 25, 1947.

Survivors are one son, Ken (Regina) Stabler; one daughter, Mandy (Rusty) Emmons, both of Atmore; one brother, Robert Stabler; two sisters, Ann McKinley and Betty Counselmen, both of Franklin; and three grandchildren, Grayson Emmons, Garrett Emmons and Mayci Stabler.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday May 25, from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Diane Everette and Speaker Beth Linam officiating. Interment followed in Huxford Baptist Cemetery.
Family received friends from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday, May 24, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc., was in charge of all arrangements.
