Charles Frankie Maguire, 69, of Atmore passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, in Mobile.

He was a retired corrections officer, from Holman Prison, born on May 29, 1945, in Carlinville, Ill. to the late Glen and Mae Wyzard Maguire. He was of the Baptist faith.

One brother, Howard Maguire, and two sisters, Melba Maguire and Betty Smith, preceded him in death.

Survivors are his wife, Susan Respress Maguire of Atmore; one son, Chuck Maguire of Las Vegas, Nev.; one brother, Carl Maguire; and one sister, Barbara (Dave) Cox, both of Illinois; and his best friend, Scooter.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 19, from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel, with Mr. Lawrence Stoker officiating. Interment followed in Oak Hill Cemetery.

The family received friends from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Thursday, June 19, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc., was in charge of all arrangements.
