Elizabeth F. Classen

Elizabeth F. Classen, 93, of Walnut Hill, Fla., passed away on June 28, 2014, at her residence.
She was a homemaker, born in Meade, Kan., on Jan. 20, 1921, to the late Jacob and Lena Friesen Loewen. She was a member of Atmore Mennonite Church.
Those who preceded her in death include her husband, Willie Classen; one infant son, Kenneth Classen; one great-grandson, Truman Heatwole; and a brother, Henry Loewen.
Survivors are three sons, Roy (Mirian) Classen of Walnut Hill, Ken (Mable) Classen of Atmore and Steve (Treva) Classen of Walnut Hill; two daughters, Marianne Classen of Walnut Hill, and Beverly Classen of Sarasota, Fla.; one brother, John Loewen of Meade, Kan.; one sister, Bertha Classen of Sturgis, Miss; 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday July 1, from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Carl Martin and the Rev. Anthony Swartzendruber officiating. Interment followed in Freemanville Community Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were grandsons, Kevin Classen, Rodney Classen, Keith Classen, Ryan Classen, Randy Classen and Corey Classen.
The family received friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday evening June 30, 2014, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc., was in charge of all arrangements.
