Evelyn Chavers Tuberville, 78, of Atmore, passed away Friday June 27, 2014, in Atmore.

She was a homemaker, born in Escambia County, on June 20, 1936, to the late Wardlow and Audrey Dreadin Chavers.
Her husband, Vernon Tuberville, and a brother, “J.P.” Preston Chavers preceded her in death.

Survivors are one son, Steve (Cherry) Tuberville of Huxford; one brother, Jerry (Cheryl) Vickery of Huxford; two sisters, Mavis Singleton of Atmore and Judy (John) Layton of Jacksonville, Fla.; and two grandchildren, Colin and Caitlin Tuberville of Huxford.

Services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday June 29, from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Larry Renfroe officiating. Interment followed in Huxford Baptist Cemetery.

The family received friends from 1:30 p.m. until the 2:30 p.m. service time Sunday, June 9, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers were Matthew Vickery, Garrie Singleton, Brian Harrison, Chet Helton, Brad Trawick, Chris Singleton and Gerald Parmer.
