Mrs. Louise Tyson King, 83, of Goodway Junction, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at Englewood Health Care Center in Monroeville.
She was born in Butler and had been a resident of Monroe County for 68 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Uriah. She worked with Medline Industries as a special projects supervisor for several years.
Her parents, Charlie and Sadie Tyson, and her husband, Jewel King, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughters, Carolyn Atkins of Old Salem, Marilyn Lambert of Perdue Hill, Sue Smith of Uriah and Debbie King of Goodway Junction; her son, Harold King of West Virginia; her brothers, Murray Tyson of South Haven, Miss. and Joe Miller of Escatawpa, Miss.; her sister, Dot Woods of Atmore; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 3, at Monroe Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Whittington officiating. Burial followed in Little River Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, at the funeral home.
