Marvin L. Nightengale, 86, of Davisville, Fla., passed away Sunday Aug. 3, 2014, in Pensacola,Fla.
He was a retired farmer, born in Fairview, Okla., on June 19, 1928, to the late Frank J. and Ella Nicholas Nightengale.
Those who preceded him in death include his siblings, Harlan Nightengale, Virgil Nightengale, Donald Nightengale, Curtis Nightengale and Janette Nightengale.
Survivors are his wife, JoAnn Koehn Nightengale of Davisville, Fla.; three sons, Doyle Nightengale of Walnut Hill, Fla. and Randall Lee Nightengale of Crestview, Fla. and Loren Scott (Lilian) Nightengale of Walnut Hill, Fla.; one daughter, Charlotte Ann Nightengale (Brian) Decker of Surprise, Ariz.; one brother, John Nightengale of Fairview, Okla.; two sisters, Irene Nightengale of Fairview, Okla. and Betty Unruh of Greensboro, Kan.; and six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be Friday, Aug. 8, at 10:30 a.m. from the Walnut Hill Mennonite Church with the Rev. Wilbert Peters officiating. Interment will follow in Walnut Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends, Thursday, Aug. 7, at the Walnut Hill Mennonite Church, from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
Active pallbearers will be Dale Wenger, Curtis Hiebert, Mark Johnson, Vernon Hiebert, Galen Schmidt and Myles Unruh.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc., is in charge of all arrangements.
