The son of an Atmore man was recently named the linebackers coach at Huntingdon College in Montgomery.
Josh Linam was one of five new assistant coaches who joined the Hawks’ staff under head coach Mike Turk.

Linam is the son of Dr. Kevin Linam, of Atmore.
This is Josh Linam’s first college coaching job. He played linebacker for the University of Central Florida and also served as a UCF graduate volunteer coach. After college, he signed as a free agent with the San Diego Chargers and also spent time with the Miami Dolphins.

During Linam’s junior season, the UCF Knights won their conference championship and earned their first bowl victory in the school’s history. He was named UCF’s “Outstanding Defensive Player” in that 10-6 win over Georgia in the Liberty Bowl.
