Woman killed in Robinsonville Road crash (updated)

An Atmore woman was killed Friday afternoon after her vehicle crashed on Robinsonville Road. The crash occurred about 3:55 p.m., between the intersection of Sardis Church Road and Hobbs Circle, about 8 miles northeast of Atmore.

Sgt. Steve Jarrett of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Public Information Unit said that Janice Harris, 43, was killed when the 2004 Ford Ranger she was driving left the roadway and overturned.

Agencies that responded to the wreck included the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, Poarch Creek Fire Department, Atmore Fire Department, Atmore Police Department, Atmore Ambulance and the Alabama State Troopers.
