Atmore kicks off ‘Food Day’

City and state officials gathered in Atmore on Friday to kick off the state's "Food Day" celebration. State and local officials visited the Atmore Farmers Market on Friday morning to kick off the statewide celebration of “Food Day.”

“Food Day” is designed to inspire Americans to change their diets for the better and to improve their food policies.

Atmore Mayor Jim Staff read proclamations from Gov. Robert Bentley and the city of Atmore, declaring Friday as Food Day.
