Helen Jean Bullard Cook

Ms. Helen Jean Bullard Cook, 59, of Pensacola, Fla., formerly of Atmore, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014, at Rosewood Manor Nursing Home.

A native of Atmore, Ms. Cook had been a resident of Pensacola for many years. She was a graduate of Escambia County Training School and had worked as a CNA at Atmore Nursing Care Center and Magnolia Nursing Home in Pensacola.

Those left to cherish her memories are one daughter, Alina Bullard of Pensacola; four sons, Gregory Bullard and Ray Charles Bullard, both of Pensacola, Fla., Till McDowell, Jr. of Cantonment, Fla. and John McDowell of Flomaton; three sisters, Mary Dailey and Clara Young, both of Atmore, and Minnie Evans of Birmingham; three brothers, James Bullard Jr. of Atlanta, Ga., John Bullard and Eddie Bullard, both of Atmore; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Oct. 31, at 1 p.m. at the New Generation Missionary Baptist Church in Atmore with the Rev. Donzell Young, pastor, officiating. Inhumation will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Viewing will be at the church Friday from noon until the funeral service time with Turner Funeral Chapel, LLC directing.
