Shirley Diane Rushing

Shirley Diane Rushing, 63, of Atmore, passed away on Nov. 5, 2014, surrounded by her family.
She was born on Feb. 11, 1951, in Atmore, to Doris and Marshall Hall. She was a Realtor and broker for 35 years in Alabama and Florida.
Her father and mother, Marshall and Doris Hall, and sister, Lanell Cook, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, the Rev. Johnny Rushing; a special nephew, Tommy Young (Lela) and grand-niece Ciana; four stepchildren, John Rushing, Jamie Rushing, Tammy Filasila (Waylon) and Sherry Capps (Jeremy); two grandchildren, Carson and Ava; two brothers, Colvin Murph (Faye) of Bay Minette and Rodney Hall of Mobile; six sisters, Carolyn Dees of Robertsdale, Nancy Roach (DC) of Davisville, Fla., Bettye Hodges (Ken) of Pensacola, Fla., Sarah Ward (Mike) of Mobile, Rita Whatley of Atmore, Becky Holloway (James) of Odessa, Texas; and many other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home in Atmore on Nov. 8. Pastor Thurl Pearson officiated. The family received friends from 10 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. Interment was held at McCullough Cemetery.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc., was in charge of all arrangements.
