Carlton Ray ‘Buster’ Ardis

Carlton Ray “Buster” Ardis, 59, of Huxford, passed away Thursday, Nov. 27, 2014, at his residence.

He worked at Huxford Pole and Timber, with 41 years of service. He was born in Atmore on Sept. 26, 1955, to the late Carl Ray and Beverly Ray Ardis. He was an avid Alabama fan.

Survivors are one son, Dustin Ardis; four sisters, Diane (Mike) Dellaccio of Atmore, Denise Smith and Ranae (Joey) Mura, both of Huxford, and Jennifer Ardis of Franklin; six nieces, Stephanie, Jennifer, Holly, Brittany, Taylor, Sydney; and one nephew Landon; also his extended family at the Huxford Pole and Timber Company.

Graveside services were held Monday Dec. 1, at 11:30 a.m. from Huxford Baptist Cemetery, with the Rev. Diane Everette and the Rev. James Boyd officiating. Interment followed in Huxford Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Buddy Godwin, Jonathan Conway, John Michael Beech, George Gomez, Randy Buckhault and Ronnie Baggett.

The family received friends Monday Dec. 1, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc., was in charge of all arrangements.
