Donnie Eugene Donaldson, 60, originally of Atmore, passed away Thursday Dec. 4, 2014, after a five-year battle with cancer, at his residence in Alma, Mich.
He was the son of Marvin Eugene Donaldson and Myrtle Lori Jeter of Atmore, who preceded him in death in addition to three brothers.

Donnie passed away surrounded by his wife of 41 years, Connie Zimmerman-Donaldson; a son, Patrick Donaldson (Daisy) of Bristow, Ind., a son, William Donaldson (Sheree) originally of Atmore, a son, Charles Donaldson originally of Atmore, and a daughter, Lisa Donaldson-Leslie (Phillip) of Alma, Mich. (Formerly married to Stephen Burkett of Atmore).

He also leaves behind another daughter, Chasidy Donaldson-Tyree (Sam) of Stapleton; sisters, Lori Jeter-Hadley of Perdido, Glenda Donaldson-Monohan and a brother, Billy Eddins, and 19 grandchildren.

Swanson’s Crematorium, of Lansing, Mich., handled the cremation.

Upon his wishes, there were no services.
