Mazie Baggett Williams

Mrs. Mazie Baggett Williams, 94, of Nokomis, passed away Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014, at her daughter’s home in Uriah.

She was a member of Nokomis Baptist Church. She worked with Vanity Fair as a seamstress for many years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Dottie and Jim Little and Tom and Margaret Webb; her husband, Lindsey Baggett; her sister, Daisy Smith; her brothers, Merdick Little and Chapman Webb; her granddaughter, Tammy Baggett; and her stepsisters, Arvella Felts and Mary Shehan.

Survivors include her sons, Gordon Baggett and the late Peggy Baggett of Monroeville and Charles Baggett and wife, Laura Jean of Uriah; her daughter, Dorothy Turk and husband, Baker of Uriah; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 30, at 11 a.m. from Monroe Chapel Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Cooper officiating. Burial followed in Uriah Cemetery. Visitation was held Tuesday, Dec. 30, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
