An Atmore man was recently arrested by sheriff’s deputies, after allegedly stalking and harassing a female victim multiple times.

According to information from the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, 27-year-old Jacob Eugene Dinkins of Estates Lane was arrested Thursday, and charged with stalking I and violation of probation.

On Tuesday, Jan. 6, the ECSO received a call from a female victim in the Brewton area, who wished to file a report for stalking.

According to the ECSO, the victim said that a male suspect had been calling and text messaging her repeatedly, following her to her job and sitting in the parking lot, and had most recently been found standing outside her residence.

After a thorough investigation, deputies arrested Dinkins on Thursday. As of Monday afternoon, he was being held without bond in the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
