Although the Northview High School Chiefs finished as the runner-up in District 3-1A, they still advanced to the state playoffs.

The Chiefs fell to Chipley, 70-55, in the district championship game Saturday evening at Northview.

Northview advanced to the losers’ bracket of the regional playoffs, where they will play at West Gadsden on Tuesday, Feb. 17, at 7 p.m.

The Chiefs advanced to the district championship by defeating Holmes County 48-46 Friday night. Chipley defeated Baker 56-32 in the other district semifinal.
