John Louis Brown, 76, born in Uriah and a resident of Atmore, died Monday, March 9, 2015, at Baptist Hospital. He was an automobile mechanic.

He is survived by his children, Amy Lynn (Andy) Akins of McCullough, John Anthony (Karen Allen) Brown of Atmore, Timothy Michael (Shawn) Brown of Rabun and David Douglas (Carolyn) Brown of Atmore; two brothers, Will Thomas Brown of Nokomis and Lewis Francis Brown of Wawbeek; eight grandchildren, Abigail Akins, Brent Akins, Cameron Brown, Chelsea Brown, Courtney Brown, Brittany Brown Byrd, Brandon Brown and Megan Owens; and two great-grandchildren, Brycen Brown and Lilly Owens.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 14, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with the Rev. Wendall Hadley officiating. Burial followed at Pine Grove Cemetery.

The family received friends Saturday, March 14, from 11 a.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral at Norris Funeral Home.
