Franklin McCreary

Mr. Franklin McCreary, 72, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, answered the roll to be with his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola.
A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mr. McCreary was reared in Atmore and was a 1960 graduate of Escambia County Training School. He was a retired laborer from Pratt Whitley Company.
Those left to cherish his life and legacy are his devoted wife, Helen Brown McCreary of Atmore; his mother, Georgia McCreary Wright of Cincinnati; two daughters, Marilyn McCreary and Levita Bell, both of New Haven, Conn.; one son, Daryl E. Brown of Lithia Springs, Ga.; one stepdaughter, Renay Marshall of Atmore; two stepsons, Willie Marshall of Atlanta, Ga., and Earnest (Tawila) Marshall of Hershey, Pa.; two sisters, Levita Brown and Brenda Webster, both of Cincinnati; two brothers, Alphonzo Wright and Tommy Wright, both of Cincinnati; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Celebration of Life services will be held Saturday, March 28, at 1 p.m. from Faith Tabernacle Holiness Church, Atmosphere Road (Freemanville Community) with the Rev. Warrick Maye, eulogist, and Elder Edgar McCarthy, host pastor.
Inhumation will be in Pierce-Rabb Cemetery. His body will lie in state at the church from noon until the funeral service time. Public viewing will be held Friday from 2 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., with a family hour being held from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home with Turner Funeral Chapel, LLC, directing.
