A 60-year-old Frisco City woman was the winner of the $80 million Powerball lottery jackpot held Saturday, April 11.

The winning ticket was sold at State Line Gift Shop, located just across the state line on Highway 97 next to Piggly Wiggly. The retailer will earn $40,000 for selling the winning ticket.

Alice Dawson, 60, of Frisco City, told lottery officials that she wished to receive her winnings as a one-time lump sum of $53.4 million.

“This is a blessing in our lives and proves that anything is possible with God,” she said. “We plan on using our winnings to help our friends, family and our church.”
