Fire damages Atmore home

A fire Thursday afternoon caused major damage to a home on West Craig Street in Atmore.
The Atmore Fire Department and Poarch Creek Volunteer Fire Department battled the fire. The call was dispatched around noon, when flames were already heavily engulfing the building.
Two adults and several children were at the home, but all were able to escape safely.
