Johnny Lee ‘Ba-Be’ Roberson

Mr. Johnny Lee “Ba-Be” Roberson, 84, of Atmore, exchanged his earthly life for a life eternally on Monday, June 1, 2015, at Atmore Community Hospital.

A native of Atmore, Mr. Roberson was a member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church and loved people. For the past several years he had been a resident of Atmore Nursing Care Center and was loved by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Roberson; his mother, Rosetta Jordan; his step-father, Bob Jordan; sister, Lizzie Roberson Caruthers; special aunt, Mary Ethel Palmore; uncles, Jeff Rudolph and Willie Lewis Rudolph; niece, Brenda Faye Roberson; and nephew, Azell Berry Jr.

Those left to cherish memories left by his life are three aunts, Rutelia America of Atmore, Mable Graham and Esther Williams both of Pensacola, Fla.; one uncle, Willie James Rudolph of Reading, Pa.; special cousins, Ann Montgomery, Marion Palmore White, Janie Stallworth, and the Rev. Donald Ray Palmore; and his Atmore Nursing Care family.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 6, at 11 a.m. from Liberty Missionary Baptist Church with Bishop Willie Lee Williams, eulogist, and the Rev. Isaac Bradley, host pastor. Retirement of his remains was placed in Stallworth Cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel, LLC, directing.
