Band to hold concerts

Members of the Escambia County Community Band pose for a photo during a concert last year. The band will be performing at several different places in the coming weeks.
The Escambia County (Ala.) Community Band will be in concert Saturday afternoon, June 28, at the First Baptist Church in Atmore at 3 p.m. The band will also perform Thursday evening, June 30, at the First United Methodist Church in Brewton at 6 p.m.
Finally, the band will be in concert July 4 at Wind Creek Casino & Hotel, just prior to the fireworks show.
The community band is made of players from around the county, and includes several of the local high school band directors. The concerts are free.
