United Fund sets $37K goal

The United Fund of Atmore held its annual kick off event at the Atmore Country Club last week.
This year’s fundraising drive goal is $47,000.
There are 13 agencies that UF of Atmore is raising funds for, including the Atmore Area Christian Care Ministry, the Atmore Area YMCA, the Atmore Babe Ruth Baseball Program, the Atmore Cal Ripken Baseball program, the Atmore Girls Softball Program, the Atmore Public Library, the Atmore Tee Ball League, the Concerned Citizens of Atmore, the Escambia County Cooperative Library System, the Escambia County Healthcare Authority, the Friends of Education of Escambia County and the Pride of Atmore, Save the Strand Theatre.
Brandy Giger the United Fund president for this calendar year; Jordan Barnett will serve as vice president; Murlie Johnson will serve as treasurer; and Abby Moseley will serve as secretary.
The directors are Sandra Gray, Joan Hackman, Lesley Harrison and Sydney McGhee.
