An East Brewton teen was killed in an early Friday morning in a one-vehicle crash on Alabama Highway 41 near mile marker 16, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Devontaye Trevon Taylor, 18, was killed when the 2007 Chevrolet HHR he was driving left the roadway and overturned, ALEA Trooper Jamie Maloy said.

Taylor, who wasn’t wearing a seat belt, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. Additionally, two other passengers were transported to DW McMillan Medical Center in Brewton for treatment.

The crash occurred seven miles north of Brewton.

No further information is available as troopers continue to investigate.
